Canadian family physician, graduated from McGill University’s School of Medicine (’93) and Family Medicine Program (’95). Faculty lecturer in the Departments of Family Medicine and in Pediatrics at McGill University; working primarily in adolescent medicine, childhood sexual abuse, prenatal care and family practice obstetrics. Prior to moving to California, I worked several months in James Bay, Quebec for the Cree Board of Health, as a locum-tenens in general in-patient and out-patient care. I am licensed to practice in California, and have worked in primary care clinics, mostly in low-income communities. I completed an MPH in Maternal and Child Health at UC Berkeley in 2001.
My areas of interest include adolescent health and access to care; attitudes of primary care physicians towards adolescent needs; health needs and access to care issues for immigrant and refugee women; Native American women’s health issues; and adequacy of standard prenatal care in different communities.
