Dr. Mendoza is a family practice physician at the Refugee Clinic / Family Health Center based at San Francisco General Hospital, and clinical instructor for family medicine residents and medical students. She enjoys mentoring for the UCSF Minority Mentor Program and UCSF pilot Program in Medical Education for the Urban Underserved (PRIME-US). Her areas of research interest include health disparities in childhood oral health medical education, health care workforce diversity and minority health policy, with particular emphasis in medical school curriculum development and program evaluation. Her clinical interests lie in adolescent reproductive health, women's health, and pediatric oral health.
